Wynne School District Enacts Soft Lockdown as Precautionary Measure
At approximately 2:00 PM today, all Wynne School District campuses were placed on a soft lockdown as a precautionary measure due to police activity occurring near the vicinity of our schools. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff.
At no time was there ever a threat or danger to students or staff within any of our schools. The lockdown was lifted promptly once law enforcement officials confirmed it was safe to resume normal operations.
We commend our local law enforcement authorities for their swift and professional response in ensuring the safety of our schools and community.
