Wynne High School Coach Ashley Busby Nominated for Leadership Playbook Coach of the Year Award

We would like to recognize the following students for their outstanding scores on the AP Exam. Caitlyn Arnold 3 AP Lang, Anna Bethell 3 AP Lit, Quinnley Bostick 4 AP Lit, Mary Cantrell 5 AP Lit, Ryan Clark 3 AP Lit, Jenny Moery 4 AP Lit, Reece Roberts 4 AP Lang, Riley Sanders 4 AP Lang, Nathaniel Stephens 3 AP Lit, Nayshaun Warren 3 AP Lang, Maggie Winders 3 AP Lit, Rachel Zhang 3 AP Chemistry.

WHS Freshman Orientation, scheduled for Thursday, July 13th, will now be open to ALL students and parents. We will have two time slots for parents and students to come and hear about the upcoming school year and pick up their beginning of the year paperwork. The time slots are 12:00 PM and 5:30 PM. This event will take place at the Arena. Student beginning of the year paperwork will also be available for pick-up on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. New Student Registration will be held on Tuesday, July 11th, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the Arena. Schedules will be handed out during Open House on Wednesday, July 19th.

Wynne Junior High School recently made history at the Future Business Leaders of America’s (FBLA) National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Atlanta, Georgia. This is the first time WJHS has taken students to the FBLA NLC. This year, five students qualified to compete at the national level. Three of those students placed in the top 10 of their respective competitive events. Addi placed 1st in the nation in Learning Strategies over roughly 40 other competitors from across the country! Charlie placed 7th in Career Research, and Baxley placed 9th in Elevator Speech. WJHS is extremely proud of each of these student business leaders and the accomplishment of being recognized on the national stage at the Awards of Excellence Ceremony on Friday, June 30. WJHS FBLA Adviser Kelly Vaught said how proud she is of her students. “I am so proud of these kids. We had a blast exploring Atlanta and representing our school and Arkansas.”

Please be advised that Wynne High School graduation will now be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, to avoid scheduling and availability conflicts with First National Bank Arena and Arkansas State University.​
