Attention Parents: Bus #8 will run its regular route as scheduled and then complete a second run to pick up students assigned to Bus #54, which may result in a slight drop-off delay for those students who ride Bus #54.

School starts at 7:55 AM, Tuesday through Friday. Students must be in class by that time, not just arriving in the parking lot. Punctuality is crucial for success, and arriving early helps students prepare for learning. Late arrivals often miss important announcements and take longer to settle into lessons. For Intermediate and Primary students, arrival after 7:55 AM but before 8:25 AM counts as tardy. Two tardies equal one-half day of unexcused absence. Secondary students with repeated 1st-period tardiness face consequences: Saturday School on the third offense and In-School Suspension (ISS) after the sixth. Arriving early helps avoid these penalties. If a student exceeds ten unexcused absences in a semester, the District will notify authorities, and the parent or guardian may face a civil penalty. Arriving on time supports both your child's learning and others in the classroom. Establishing routines is essential for success, and punctuality is a valuable life skill. If you face challenges with punctuality, please notify the school office or reach out to discuss assistance.

Wynne Public Schools Implements New Safety Measure for Sporting Events Wynne Public Schools has introduced a new policy requiring all students in grades 6-12 to present valid identification when entering school-hosted sporting events to enhance student safety and supervision. This measure applies to both Wynne students and those from other districts. This approach prioritizes student welfare and reinforces the importance of responsible adult supervision at school events. Students who do not have an ID cannot enter without an adult. Student supervision will be the responsibility of the adult attending the event with the student. Valid forms of ID include a driver's license or school-issued ID.

Act 656, which allowed all students who qualified for reduced-price meals to eat for free during the 2023-2024 school year, expired on June 30, 2024. Starting August 1, 2024, students approved for reduced meals last school year will again have to pay the reduced meal price. The cost will be $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch. Students can continue to eat on last year's meal status and pay the reduced price for the first 30 days of the new school year or until a new application is processed, whichever comes first. This 30-day grace period expires on September 16, 2024. Applications for free or reduced-priced meals for Primary and Intermediate school students can be found inside their student packets. For Junior High and High School students, applications will be provided with their schedules. Additionally, applications are available on the Wynne School District website www.wynneschools.org, at any school building office, or at the Child Nutrition Office. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sherry Jumper at 870-587-0206 or Ashley Harris at 870-587-0205. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
